Facial Aesthetics

It’s a natural process of change

Everyone gets older and as time goes by our skin loses moisture, its texture changes and lines and wrinkles develop.

You can help delay these signs of ageing by not smoking and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun. Applying moisturiser regularly and limiting the amount of alcohol you drink can also help.

We are now pleased to announce two treatments to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and add volume to the skin.

Juvederm

First Syringe £220 Second syringe £120

Lip Enhancement £245

Juvederm is an excellent treatment option for:

  • Deep folds
  • Lip enhancement
  • Facial lines
  • Wrinkle correction
  • Volume augmentation of the lips
  • Shaping facial contours (such as cheeks and chin correcting)
  • Smile lines (correcting thin, superficial lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead)
  • Juvederm fills nasal furrows and oral commissures and smoothes medium and superficial wrinkles. Juvederm is also an excellent volume creator which, when injected into your cheeks, gives you back your good looks.

What is it?

Juvederm® is a hyaluronic acid based gel. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring sugar which binds to water, giving skin plumpness, delivering nutrients, and acting as a cushion in the skin. As we age our skin loses it natural fatty tissue and our collagen is damaged by the sun's ultraviolet light. This damage is reflected in our aged and wrinkled skin. Dermal fillers like Juvederm can help smooth the skin and increase volume.

What does it treat?

Juvederm is an injectable gel used to restore skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds such as smile lines, mouth and nose lines. There are two types of Juvederm, Juvederm Ultra, which may be used to correct moderate wrinkles on the face and add fullness to the lips, or Juvederm Ultra Plus which has a denser formulation which is used to improve the appearance of deeper wrinkles.

Treatment with Juvederm®

Juvederm, as with all injectable dermal fillers, is injected into the treatment area through a needle. The Juvederm gel is then used to improve fine lines and wrinkles. Topical anesthetic may be applied to minimize patient discomfort prior to treatment. Juvederm does not require allergy testing prior to treatment.

How long does it last?

Immediately following treatment you will see results. According to Allergan, Juvederm results may last from 9 to 12 months.

Side Effects

Side effects with Juvederm may include the typical injection side effects such as swelling of the skin around the injection site, redness, bruising (which may be increased if you are taking blood thinners), bumps, and skin irritation. These should pass within a week. If symptoms persist, call your doctor. Also be sure to inform your doctor of all the drugs you are taking, as they may impact treatment. If you have any history of severe allergies, or a history of allergies to gram-positive bacterial proteins, you should not be treated with Juvederm.

BoTox

Botox from £195.00 first area

Extra Areas from £50.00 (max 3 areas)

Ageing is a natural process and many people want to feel good for their age with a natural look and seek out ways to help them achieve that.

Unlike the fillers described above, these injections target lines and wrinkles present during expression. For example, crow’s feet, frown lines and forehead lines.

The procedure involves the injection of small amounts of Botulinum Toxin into the facial muscles that are being treated. There may be a minimal amount of discomfort felt but we can use a topical anaesthetic cream to numb the area if you wish.

The results will take seven to fourteen days to appear and typically last for up to 3 to 4 months.

What side effects may I expect following treatment?

Side effects, if they occur, are usually temporary and mild to moderate. Any redness goes within half an hour so it’s possible to return to work straight after treatment.

Other side effects such as ptosis (drooping of the upper eyelid), these are temporary in nature. Any concerns you have can be discussed during your consultation.
